As a family-run bakery, we pour our hearts into every loaf, cake, pastry, and bun that comes out of our ovens! Here, we honour the timeless traditions of baking. We create an authentic experience that captures the essence of simpler times.
Our bakery is a haven for those who appreciate warmth, craftsmanship, and community. These things define old-style baking. Our methods are slow and deliberate. We ensure that every product we produce carries the marks of quality and tradition.
Daily Bakes
Baked freshly every day – limited supply available
Each night / early morning we bake fresh bread, tarts, pastries, cream buns and cookies. We call these our “Daily Bakes”. You don’t need to order daily bakes just pop in to our bakery and buy them fresh. We offer Daily Bakes on a first come first served basis; so pop in early for your favourite bake to avoid disappointment!
Morning deliveries for business
If you are a shop or café owner and are interested in stocking our daily bakes we organise deliveries of freshly baked goods every day. Please get in touch if you want to place an order request for our daily bakes. We bake to order for stores and deliver daily.
Our Story
Doreen’s Bakery
Doreen and Michael Newman established Doreen’s Bakery in 1997. Doreen started her baking in a small building in Athboy, County Meath. She began by baking homemade apple tarts and brown bread. Today, the Skelton family continues Doreen’s legacy. They blend traditional recipes with a touch of innovation.
